Hello, just came back from the screening of Alice in the Wonderland 3D....I couldn't believe the crowd as I have to queue on a ridiculous long line (went there 40 mins early) to get into the hall (no seat allocation)....phew...anyway....it's a movie by (yet again) Tim Burton with the collaboration of (yet again) Johnny Depp and Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter (Burton just can't stop casting his own wife on any of his movies)...
Johnny Depp yet again messing up himself and dressed weirdly as the mad hatter, Mia Wasikowska (Aussie actress!!) as Alice...and Helena as the Red headed queen...
It is kinda simple and light tale saying about what happened to Alice in the wonderland and what is she going to do in it...(not giving out much..huh). The plot itself is very very simple which you just need to figure out yourself...The CGI effect in this movie could consider as GROUNDBREAKING...everything's seem so real in it and you can sit back..relax and enjoy the wonderland created by Burton....(he is a genius...no one suits better than him to direct this movie)...For the acting part....Johnny Depp gave his best as the mad hatter...Mia Wasikowska's Alice is no doubt very good....(she seem so natural)......as well as other cast.they did great......Very very solid acting......3D gimmick in this movie is alrite which you know you would expect it happen in any 3D movie...yea....watching this movie in 3D would definitely give you a great experience......
The bad part of the movie would fall on script writting....the movie has a thin plot where I suppose that Burton is suppose to improve on that..As it is too simple that anyone knows what is it about and going to be right after 5 mins the movie starts....way too predictable...Danny Elfman music is not that bad either...keep going..danny!!
Overall, it is an enjoyable film to be watched and shouldn't be missed on this overhyped film.
Rating: 7/10 (marks deduction on plot)
